Parsvottanasana

The intense side stretch pose, Parsvottanasana, is a standing forward bend with the hands in Paschima Namaskarasana. In addition to the benefits of all the standing poses, it also develops the wrists, shoulders and chest. As the head rests on the knee, it becomes a resting pose where the concept of ‘effortless effort’ is experienced.
