The extended side angle pose, Utthita Parsvakonasana, is a continuation of Virabhadrasana II, but where the trunk and arms are stretched to the side, forming a straight line from the foot all the way to the tips of the fingers. Like all standing poses, it develops shapely and strong legs, and also opens the chest.
